Liz and Jaspal

Liz and Jaspal’s wedding formalized a strong established relationship. They whole day was a big family-style party, so I suggested a fun “pop song” to help showcase the fun times.

Special thanks to the AWESOME DJ team from RD Productions

Same Day Edit – Wil and April

April and will hired me about a year before their July 2010 wedding. We kept in touch over the following months, sharing ideas and watching some of my favorite wedding videos from The Philippines, Canada, and here in the U.S.. JMag, Bob Nicolas, Threelogy, Stillmotion, and many more. Well I guess she liked them too, because about two months before her wedding April asked about a same-day edit ( a very popular service provided by high end providers world-wide). Having never done one, there was some pretty serious concern about pulling it off. But I definitely wasn’t going to pass up the chance.

So I hired two extra people, and managed to eek out a pretty simple but decent enough edit that played at 8:30 that night.

Lucky to work again with the FABULOUS PHOTOGRAPHER Jessio Cho , everyone had a BLAST all day long.

Patrick and Sarah

Sarah and Patrick were married at the beautiful Cathedral Basilica of St. Joseph’s in San Jose. The original St. Joesph’s Church, California’s first non-mission parish, was built in 1803. The current church was completed in 1885, and underwent a full restoration 1990.
Given the  backdrop of the Cathedral, and the pure and devout message of the song chosen by Sarah and Patrick, I decided to arrange the clips very carefully and in harmony with the lyrics. With such a beautiful bride and scenery like the Cathedral, I felt it was important, as an editor, just to stay “out of the way.” The love this couple has for God and for each other is so powerful, it would do the rest.
Special thanks to Taruan Woo photography for the wonderful posing of the bridal party.

Alanna and Greg

Alanna and Greg, with the immeasurable help of Suzy Somers, planned a spectacular New Year’s Eve wedding on Treasure Island. From the custom designed all white ceremony “tent” to the black tie gala that followed, no detail was overlooked. Including a waterfront view of the San Francisco skyline during the spectacular fireworks show. It was the kind of party that made you miss Herb Caen. Alanna and Greg are vibrant people who are committed to living life fully. It was a privilege to witness the joining of two people of such strong character. As a new-ish parent, I can only imagine the pride and satisfaction their parents must feel from having raised such “good kids.”

“True Colors” written by Billy Steinberg and Tom Kelley. Performed by the cast of  Glee.

“Accidentally in Love” written and performed by Counting Crows.

Hyosun and Inwoo Part 2

Karaoke! I think this should be mandatory for ALL weddings. Thank you to both Hyosun and Inwoo’s families for inviting me into their lives that day. It’s plain to see that Hyosun is an amazingly beautiful woman. What I hope also comes through in this video is her fun spirit. Music: “No One” by Alicia Keyes
